One of the most influential feminist plays of the 20th Century, Fefu and Her Friends is known for its groundbreaking style of conversational realism with moments of absurdism. It features a group of women who gather at Fefu’s country house in the 1930s to party, swap ideas and possibly launch a revolution. Audiences eavesdrop as the women argue, gossip, and confess their anxieties and desires in the struggle to navigate a world dominated by men.
